I have been trying to prepare my taxes for over 3 hours now...arggh! Okay for a low income person, I have a lot of high stress. It took me forever to access Turbo Tax online. Remember when folks would wait to file (even if they had a return?). I guess this year no one is waiting. So when I finally got in, the system crashed on me 9 times.
This is, the Free Edition. I don't know how it is Free and I have to pay for it with my refund. I also have to pay for State (even though the online copy states that it is included free when you file Federal). Well, at least I "get" a refund , so not complaining.
Of course "sorry California" is running out of money and wants to give me an I O U. Well, how about if if I owed them, that I write one and we call it even. I bet the GOVERNATOR would be down for that- NOT! Starting today, they are sending out IOU's.
I mean what are we paying Taxes for...the ROADS SUCK, THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM SUCKS, CALIFORNIA WATER SYSTEM SUCKS (the big one), ....Everything that I am taxed on is not worth the penny I am investing in it.
How about instead of TAXING MY ASS...you (the government) would of provided a means so my house would not have gone in foreclosure, that I would not have had to lose my home and go through pure hell 3 years ago. Oh wait! Maybe the Government doesn't give a BLEEP about its constituents....
I think I am right.

I almost said some other words reading this post! What in the world are they taxing you for then? Hell they should be begging people not to leave California.
Maybe the Governator should trim HIS salary and downsize the Governors mansion. I'm sure he is not going without!

I used taxactonline.com for my taxes it was easy and the fed was free, the state cost me $13. This is my third year using them, I've never had a problem. I file, and get my money direct deposit. This year it was back in 6 days. Very Cool! Since I am unemployed I paid a few months rent to give me some breathing room!
WHAAAT!? It's time to consider moving to the East Coast! Or at least another state. California... well by what your saying, it isn't so nice, but I'm sure that in time things will be getting much better for you.
At a crucial time like this... all wealthy people, especially business people seem to be living in their own little worlds of paradise distant from the harsh reality we normal working people have to endure. I agree with Regina, that it is absolutely absurd to be given IOU's, but yet the Governor is still being paid in full in his mansion... please. I'd be ready to leave Georgia in a heart beat if they were pulling some shit like that.

Okay, but it takes 45 dollars to fill up my tank to go to work at my 10 and hour plus job..WTH?

I tell you what Xvinrah..I actually am looking at some relocation options. My kids are grown, doing their own damn thing and I guess it is time for "DA MOM" to do her own!
